Curaçao have confirmed their 26-player squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Curacao, a Caribbean island of just 150,000 people, are the smallest nation at the 2026 World Cup and their presence is one of football's great underdog stories.

Many of Curacao's players were born or raised in the Netherlands, products of the Dutch-Caribbean diaspora. Dick Advocaat, at 78 the oldest manager in the tournament, has moulded a squad from players plying their trade in the Eredivisie, lower English leagues, and beyond. Football on the island is inseparable from its cultural identity a joyful, expressive game played on small pitches under Caribbean skies. Qualification was celebrated with island-wide parties that lasted days.

Head coach Dick Advocaat has named his final selection for the tournament in North America.

Tahith Chong at Sheffield United and Armando Obispo at PSV provide top-level quality, while Riechedly Bazoer's technical ability in midfield can trouble any opponent. Curacao will be outmatched physically in most games, but they play with a freedom and joy that makes them impossible not to root for.
