France: 2026 World Cup squad confirmed
France have confirmed their 26-player squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Les Bleus enter the tournament as perennial favourites, armed with arguably the deepest squad in world football.
France's conveyor belt of talent shows no sign of slowing. Didier Deschamps, now in his 14th year as manager, has navigated generational transitions with remarkable composure from the 2018 triumph in Russia to the heartbreak of the 2022 final in Doha. French football is powered by a unique multicultural identity, with players drawn from communities across the nation and its overseas territories. The banlieues continue to produce world-class athletes at an extraordinary rate.
Head coach Didier Deschamps has named his final selection for the tournament in North America.
Kylian Mbappe, now settled at Real Madrid, leads a forward line that could field two starting XIs. Bradley Barcola, Rayan Cherki, and Michael Olise represent the next wave, while N'Golo Kante's recall adds a dose of tireless midfield running. France are everyone's pick for the final.
