Greece found moments of promise but ultimately fell short of the consistency needed to progress beyond the group stage. Goals proved hard to come by, with just 2 in 3 matches, and their lack of firepower ultimately told.
Greece endured a difficult group stage, unable to advance despite moments of resistance. Their campaign featured a 0-2 defeat against Korea Republic, a hard-fought 2-1 win against Nigeria, and a 0-2 defeat against Argentina. Despite moments of quality, it was not enough to advance, and Greece's campaign ended at the the opening round.

The tactical mind behind Greece's 2010 campaign. Leading Greece at his first World Cup 1 win, 2 losses under Rehhagel.
Rehhagel's unorthodox tactics seemed to catch teams off guard at times but ultimately couldn't overcome significant skill disparities. Greece played with an aggressive style, often catching opponents on the counter.
