After 52 years in the wilderness, Haiti returned to the World Cup their first appearance since 1974. Sébastien Migné was the man tasked with guiding them back.
Haiti return to a World Cup for the first time since 1974 the country's second WC appearance ever. French coach Sébastien Migné guided the team through CONCACAF qualifying with a disciplined defensive block, remarkably without ever visiting Haiti due to security concerns. The squad combines MLS and Ligue 2 professionals with domestic players from the Haitian Championnat.
Haiti found the group stage unforgiving, unable to pick up a single victory against their opponents. Their campaign featured a narrow 0-1 loss to Scotland, a heavy 0-3 defeat to Brazil, and a 2-4 defeat against Morocco. Morocco proved to be a step too far, and Haiti's campaign came to a decisive end in the first round.
